Luisa hat den zweiten Platz auf dem Regional Science Fair im Bereich Medicine & Health Science gewonnen! Im April fährt sie nach San Antonio und präsentiert dort ihr Projekt auf dem State Science Fair.

Does green tea prevent cell aging?

This project was designed to determine if green tea and Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG), a concentrated green tea extract, prevent cell aging.
Lactobacillus and E.coli bacteria were grown on nutrient agar plates and treated with green tea and EGCG. Control plates were left without moisture treatment.
Gram staining revealed that the control bacteria dishes turned from gram positive to gram negative within three days, whereas the moistened bacteria dishes stayed gram positive. As turning from gram positive to gram negative is an indicator for cell aging, the untreated bacteria cells aged faster than the treated bacteria cells, which supports the hypothesis.

Cruise.

Luisa was on a cruise this January. Judging from the photos everyone seemed to have had a great time. Are these swimming cities truly this large?

Of even more interest to the general audience is further intelligence about this strapping young gentleman who is causing such mirth on Luisa’s countenance.

Luisa hat Fotos von Dallas gemacht. Wenn der neugierige Betrachter genau hinsieht, kann er erkennen, dass sie manchmal Arthropod Compound Eye Glasses trägt.Vielleicht sollte sie einmal mit Lars sprechen?
